Welcome to The New Legacy Piano Series – a collection of deep-sampled world-class pianos. Our Legacy Piano Series marks the next evolution in hyper-realistic piano sampling – both in regards to playability, character and expressiveness of the pianos.

The 1969 Steinway (Model D) Concert Grand Piano marks one of the most exquisite piano lines in existence. The tone is rich, full, yet bright and airy. It has a majestic character, which can blend into anything from classical piano pieces to rock/pop. The specific model we sampled is from 1969, which marks one of the greatest eras of piano engineering. The natural age of the piano has allowed the soundboard to settle and open up and blossom like great bottle of wine.

We sampled the 1969 Steinway Concert Grand Piano from 6 different stereo microphone perspectives (Overhead, Keyboard/Player, Dampers, Spot, Ambient & Room), so you can dial in the sound and perspective you want.

Whether its the full range of the overheads or the slightly softened mics on the dampers, or room perspective with the keyboard/player mixed in for a wide and open sound.

The 1969 Steinway Concert Grand Piano has a variety of advanced controls and in addition the piano also comes with a variety of custom instruments (eg. Eternal Sustains, Glockenspiels, Assortment of Guitars, Modi ed Pianos etc).

Superior Mics & Mixing

The New 1969 Grand Piano contains an advanced, yet highly intuitive user interface. The front part of the interface contains all main controls, including six unique stereo microphone perspectives (Overheads, Keyboard/Player, Dampers, Spot, Ambient and Room Mics). In addition it also holds front page access to the most creative aspects of our effects units.

Intuitive User Interface

The New 1969 Piano contains a brand new and familiar GUI. The update has a huge list of new features including; the ability to articulation Stack, release & pedal on/off control, panorama control, amp env, pitch env, filter env, tone control, drive, filter LFO, filter effect, gates, pitch control, delay and a custom form control in which you can select custom convolutions to drastically change your sound!The new GUI gives you much more control over the 6 microphone positions and EQ with a A/B mix, microphone mixer and compressor. Lastly, of course, we have included our custom chaos effects for chaotic control!

Piano Blending Options

The 1969 Piano contains a variety of custom piano morphing options, so you can blend the piano with any selected layers and create completely new instruments with a single click. The Piano Morphing allows you to blend any/all of the following sound designed patches with the piano, including Default Piano, True Staccato, Reversed Synthesis, Glisten, Infinity (Eternal Sustains), Ethereal, Glockiano, Suppressed, Emperor, Golden and Future Articulations. You can add any of the piano blend options to the piano and even control their individual volumes for mix perfection.

Chaos Effects

The New 1969 Piano contains our custom Chaos FX system, which allows you to virtually do anything you desire. Whether it’s creating a step-based filter sequence using our front page LFO, precision dial EQ, bit-crushing & distortion, stereo-delay or messing around with dual convolution reverbs. We also added our latest range of Impulse Responses, which allow you to create Textural Convolution Delays on top of the existing stereo-delay and convolution reverb.
