ABBEY ROAD | 60s DRUMMER is an enhanced version of the original ABBEY ROAD | 60s DRUMS, updated to integrate developments inKONTAKT 5. All the new ABBEY ROAD DRUMMER instruments include the advanced Mixer Section and Groove Library feature fromSTUDIO DRUMMER.

All drums were recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London, UK, usingperiod equipment and recording techniques.

An iconic symbol of the music industry since 1931, Abbey Road has been the location of countless landmark recordings by artists such as The Beatles, U2, Kate Bush, Oasis, Kanye West and Radiohead, to name just a few.

Abbey Road has pioneered many studio techniques and technologies, and is widely recognized as one of the most advanced recording, mixing and post-production complexes in the world.

The heart of ABBEY ROAD | 60s DRUMS consists of two highly sought-after vintage drum kits: A Gretsch Round Badge White Marine Pearl kit (Jasper Shell) from the early 60s and a Ludwig Hollywood kit from 1967. Each kit provides a choice of two vintage snares, and all cymbals used are genuine 60s originals, including a rivet cymbal dating from 1963.

The drums were recorded in up to 30 different velocity layers, with up to six alternative hits (round robins) for each drum.
